I get the impression that may have been [@Genni]'s intention, to make Nici come across as a layered and troubled person with a highly volatile personality. It fits with her description on the CS at least.

I can also understand the revulsion Nici may have experienced to have someone poking around in her head like that though, it'd be a highly personal and invasive intrusion to have someone do that without warning, especially someone she's only just met. You could almost equate it with someone walking up to a woman in the street and sticking a fingers into her pussy while introducing himself.
