"You don't think we got turned around do you?" she asked, looking around and spotting Turner only a few steps behind her. Spinning around on her heel to face him, she crossed her arms. "I also don't see or hear anyone near us. I haven't for a while now." she paused. "Which is weird considering this Forest is supposed to be crawling with Grimm. So either we are close to the temple or we've been going the wrong way." Hey chin lifted and her pink eyes gazed up at the thick canopy of trees above them. "Do you think you could get up there and see anything?" Turner listened to Honey, while trying to watch their surroundings at the same time, as she was skipping as nonchalantly as he had ever seen anyone in a deadly forest. Okay, this was the first time hes been in a deadly forest but still, Honey seemed very laid back and chill about the situation. "Hmm?" Turner said as he lost concentration for a second. "Oh, yeah sure." He said with a nod. Turner drew Kaminari Inazuma into its dual sword mode. He flipped them around so the blades were facing backwards as Turner walked to a tree. Honey took a large step away, as his weapon seemed pretty dangerous. Turner stabbed one blade into the tree and stabbed the second one higher. Using his feet to grip against the tree, Turner alternated between his hands and alternated his legs too, eventually getting higher and higher until he reached the treeline. He scanned the surroundings until he saw a circular, stone looking thing, kind of like the top of a temple or something. It was to the west of where they were, and actually not too far. Turner climbed back down about halfway until jumping off, pulling his swords out of the tree with him. "See anything?" she asked him as he landed down from the tree. "Yeah, its not too far, to the west." Turner explained. Honey clapped her hands excitedly. "Great! Then we're almost there!" she said, skipping ahead of him in the direction he had mentioned. It was a good thing Honey didn't need to try and expand the range of her semblance, as that would have tired her out even more than she already was. Closing her eyes, she would take one more quick scan of the area, to make sure there were no enemies in sight, and then she would stop relying on her semblance to see. Sighing from the effort of keeping it up for so long, Honey stopped in her skipping and turned around, waiting for Turner to catch up. She rubbed her eyes as if trying to clear them, though her vision didn't get any better afterwards. Turner was getting kind of tired too, in between trying to get to the temple as quick as possible to avoid Grimm, and keeping up with Honey, who manages to skip faster than he can jog, things were becoming... boring. Even though he'd rather not fight Grimm that could kill him, he really hoped something happened... and quick. Honey waited until he was at her side before she reached out and took his arm, stopping him in his walking. "I need a favor." she said, looking at him, her pink eyes desperately trying to focus and make out the features of his face. Turner stopped awkwardly as Honey grabbed his arm and asked for a "favor" of some sort. "Uhhh, whats that?" he asked, trying not to sound nervous or awkward in any way. "I need you to be my eyes for a while." she said, smiling at the tone of his voice. She was making him uncomfortable? "Make sure you're on the lookout for any Grimm. I've been doing it so far, trying to walk in places that had none. But I can't anymore. So just... be on your toes." she said. "Okay, oni-chan?" she added, just to tease him. Turner sighed, relaxing a little, but in his head he was screaming "Oh, thank god!" Turner smiled and looked back at Honey. "Of course." Turner said warmly. Wait... hang on. "You cant see?" he questioned, confused, still walking forward and looking out for Grimm. Honey held loosely onto his shirt, closing her eyes and letting him guide her, simply following behind him. She didn't activate her semblance, just allowed herself to trust in him. "Yes and no..." she started, answering his question. "My eyes are weak. I can only really see shapes and I can't focus on details. Over the years they've gradually gotten worse. I think its only a matter of time before I go blind..." she said. The tone in her voice wasn't sad, just... flat. As if she didn't care, but in reality it was something she hated most about herself. "The good news is, I have this ability that allows me to 'see' everything when I close my eyes. Though it tires me out if I use it too much. Which... I just did to keep us safe." she paused. "Dont get me wrong now, I can still totally beat the crap out of a Grimm with or without my eyes. I just... it would be easier if could see everything. Which reminds me, what color are your eyes?" she asked curiously. "They're blue." Turner said, trying not to sound sad because of her eyes. That... was a lot to take in. But, if they're going to be partners, he had to help Honey. He didn't have a reason to, but he felt like he had to, and he would. "Dont worry about your eyes Honey." Turner began, trying to cheer her up. "We are partners now, and partners help each other out." He continued, until a log got in their way. "Watch your step here." Turner advised, stepping over himself before guiding Honey over it as well. "I've got your back, whenever. I promise it." Turner said, with determination in his voice. "Blue huh...?" she said, smiling after. No wonder he was mistaken for a girl... All that hair and now his eyes. she thought, laughing lightly. Honey didn't respond to his trying to cheer her up about her eyes, though his kindness had caught her off guard. Turner didn't know anything about Honey, they had only met the day before, and still he seemed determined to help her. As she stepped over something wit his help, she thought that she was pretty lucky to have someone like that to be her partner. "Thanks Turner, that means a lot. Though..." the hand on his shirt would tighten as she stopped walking. "I heard something." she said. Turners ears perked at the sound of something. "Me too... He replied, drawing his sword in his spare hand. "Get ready, it could be trouble." He replied, wrapping his own arm around hers to assure not only her but himself too, to let him know she was safe too. Honey quickly unstrapped Seraphine from her belt, and held the handle in her left hand tightly. Though her eyes remained closed, she wasn't afraid of some Grimm trying to ambush them. She had Turner for her eyes, and well, the rest of her was still combat ready. "I hear it, to the right of us." she said, her head turning in that direction. "I hear two seperate patterns of footsteps, but they seem to be moving together." Turner listened intently, he heard something but not as precise as Honey. She clearly had amazing hearing. "Got ya." Turner replied, confirming he was listening to the girl. "Could be Beowolves?" he suggested as he turned right. "That's what I was thinking." she said. Raising Seraphine as she turned with him, she aimed the muzzle of it in the general direction of the steps. She waited as the mace's inner working changed so she could shoot regular bullets, before firing a few into the shadows of the trees. She waited, not hearing anything. "Well, they aren't people. If they were, they'd have said something to make us cease fire." "You got that right." Turner said, tensing up a little, keeping his sword out and ready, not really pointing it in a certain direction. Rustling could now clearly be heard, something or even some things was coming. "Whatever it is, its getting closer." "Well then, might as well give them a proper greeting." Honey would say, opening her eyes and blinking a few times. She wiggled her arm free from Turner's and ran forward, gripping the handle of Seraphine in both hands, raising it over her head. Bringing it down on a bush, the impact with the ground made a loud boom sound and two shadowed figures lept from the bush and into view. Sure enough it was a duo of Beowolves. They landed in the space between Turner and Honey, one facing each of them and growling angrily. After lifing her weapon again, Honey turned around and glared at the figure of the Beowulf that was facing her. "Don't you beasts have better things to do other than harassing me?" she asked angrily, running forward and attempting to hit the thing with her weapon. The beast dodged it, and she ended up hitting the Beowulf that was closer to Turner, actually pushing the thing towards him. "Heads up!" Turner rolled to the left as the Beowulf was sent his way. Gripping the wide hilt of Kaminari Inazuma, the young boy charged at the stunned Grimm and sliced at its back. Turner spun around quickly torwards the other, splitting his sword into two and throwing one at the Beowulf, praying it would hit its mark. "Duck!" he yelled out to Honey. Eyes widening in surprise, Honey lowered herself down closer to the ground as fast as she could, though her long braids were not as fast, and the sharp tip of Turner's sword caught the ribbon that held one of her braids together, pulling it out of her hair, and a few strands along with it. She winced as her hair was pulled and felt the braid unravel. Looking up, she saw the sword continue its path and catch the Grimm right in the chest, and it was sent flying back at the force of the throw. Honey grinned and said "Nice shot." before placing her hands on her knees and standing, reaching to pick up Seraphine as she did. Turner done the same thing as he did with his landing technique, taking a couple of steps to the left of Honey as to not hit her on the way. Turner pulled back with the sword in his hand and let the wire pull him and the Grimm together as he jumped in the air at the same time. Turner jutted his jegs out and put them together as they made contact with the Beowulf's head, kicking it back into the ground. Turner had kept silent, his mood changing as soon as the fight started. Turner placed his hand on the hilt of the sword imbedded in the creatures chest before jumping away, corkscrewing through the air and rolling forward as he landed. When Turner pushed himself up he finally noticed Honey's ruined braid. "Sorry!" He exclaimed. Reaching back to run a hand through her hair, she smiled. "Oh that's--" A sudden sound from the other Beowulf made Honey turn and quickly shoot the thing three times, just to make sure it was dead, before she smiled at Turner. "That's okay. You did some nice work here. I was basically just watching." she complimented him. Stepping over to the Grimm that had been stabbed, she squinted her eyes and looked for a bit of green that she hoped would stand out against the black of the beast. "Did you see my ribbon?" Turner smiled, a bit embaraased as he seemed to go a bit overboard. "Hehe, sorry." He apologised, rubbing the back of his head. Oh, crap. The ribbon! Turner scanned the floor really quick until he saw a small strip of cloth that contrasted to the green of the grass. Turner quickly picked it up and ran it through his fingers, getting rid of any dirt on it. "Got it right here." Turner said, walking over and placing it in her hands. "Ah, thank you." she said taking it and placing her weapon on the ground so she could fix her braid. "Again, really sorry about that." he said apologetically. "Don't worry, its my fault that im too stubborn to cut my hair." she said as she continued to braid up her long hair. Looking around them, she raised her eyebrows. "We should probably get going though, before their friends show up. We should be getting close, right?" she asked as she used the ribbon to tie the end of the braid. After moving it over her shoulder, she bent down to pick up Seraphine before rubbing her eyes. "Lets go?" Turner nodded at Honey. "Yeah, were close. Lets go." Turner agreed, sheathing his weapon onto his back. He stuck close to Honey in case she needed him to guide her again and began walking west along with her. Fortunately, they didnt run into anymore Grimm by the time they had reached the temple. "I... think this is it?" Turner commented as they reached the edge, not sounding too confident. Several or so podiums with objects on them were placed in a semi-circle within the ruins of the temple, but Turner couldnt make them out just yet. Honey had kept her eyes closed and stayed close to Turner as they walked. It wasn't too long before he stopped walking and she opened her eyes to look around them. They seemed to have stepped out of the egde of the forest, and made it to a very large clearing with something that resembled a ruined stone building. Or temple... she thought. "Maybe. Lets go check it out!" she said excitedly before running ahead of him. Turner chuckled at the optimistic attitued of Honey as he began jogging after her again. When they got closer, Turner could finally see the tiny objects on top of the podiums. "Chess pieces?" He questioned. "Oooooh." Honey said as she got really close to a few of the pieces, looking at them intently. "This one!" she said happily, grabbing one though she couldn't tell much other than the creamy white color of it. Taking it to Turner, she handed it to him. "Which one is it?" Turner took the piece in his hand and noticed the iconic sculpt of the piece. "Its the queen." He stated, turning it in his hand a bit before handing it back. "Here you go." He said with a smile. Turning it over in her hands, she smiled at it. "The queen?" After a moment of just looking at it, she squealed happily. "I'm queen of the castle! I'm queen of the castle!" she sang while making poses. Turner rolled his eyes and just leant against one of the broken pillars, simply letting Honey do her thing. "Should we wait for the others?" Turner asked, even though he thought she was in her own world at the moment. "Hmm..." Pausing in her dancing, Honey looked around them. This place looked a lot safer than the forest. "We should probably wait..." she said, going over to him. She looked at him for a moment, then remembered something. "Which mean I have enough time to show you the rest of the poses I thought up for my very own statue!" Turners head dropped immediately. Well... we ARE partners now, like I said. With a sigh, Turner finally looked up. "Go ahead." he said, with a smirk as Honey would continue pulling off different and weird poses.
