[@Silver Fox] NOLAN "Can't blame them for being distrustful. Humanity keeps taking away more and more of their land each year leaving the yokai to figure out what to do with their lost homes. The yokai all are separated all over the world and they're resources are growing fewer and fewer. Their options are few. They can either put their differences aside and band together to form their own kingdom or they can integrate into human life at the risk of losing their culture." Nolan took a sip of tea and finished off his own bizarre and delicious meal. The yokai's situation certainly wasn't an easy one to be solved. There were complex political issues involving many noble families from the yokai and each city had their own special interests. He had only been to this one city and only learned of these issues by the inhabitants of this island. The deeper, ancient problems were beyond his understanding. Nolan hopped back to his feet and tossed a now empty cup over to a bin. "There isn't much point in thinking about complicated issues. Everything will work out eventually. I'm more interested in stuffing my face." It seemed strangely out of character for Nolan to be this social, especially with someone like Karn that made his skin freak out with goosebumps and a river of sweat. Perhaps there was hope for him after all. Nolan had stopped in front of a stall that was serving fried Yamata-no-Orochi, eight headed snake, on a stick and Kappa Fin Sake. It's been awhile since Nolan had felt this hungry and by god after the whole craziness of the day he was going to stop giving a damn and let loose a bit.
