When knights came to his village, he wanted immediately to be just like this magnificent humans. His mother cried, but this boy didn’t care, and her story wasn’t really listened to. He set off the next day, and met a liege lord, who laughed at the boy’s leather chaps and javelins. The boy didn’t really notice, being untrained in subtle court dialect, and took on the challenge to joust an enemy knight that had insulted the king. The boy was lucky, and killed the knight. The boy stole the knight’s armor and set out to do more great deeds, his eyes starry with dreams of glory. He has killed two more enemies on his way until he came upon a knight that taught him to be chivalrous and fixed his technique up some. He’s continued to wander since, lances and spears his favorite weapon, and his trusted steed beneath him. The boy is called Peredur. [*]Story thread: Found the bard and the village, and gallantly takes up the challenge of fighting this monster! Ambition: to be the best knight at his liege lord’s table, and to do great works of chivalry. [*]Characterized by high ideals and chivalrous desires. He’s quick to start a fight, thinking it brave, and follows his gut without really thinking. His only hesitation is in the courts of men, where the polite speeches and big words make him silent and nervous, unsure of what to say. [*]Driven by delusions of grandeur, and by a dream wherein he saw angelic might and beauty when first he saw that knight. [/list]
