Hmm
I was thinking
What if it was some sort of physical pain
Very delayed but like short but intense bouts of internal pain
Like stomach cramps or migraines
Maybe some internal bleeding??
Bc I feel like putting the human body through whatever it goes through to be able to access a higher level of functioning like that
The body wasn't made for that they didn't evolve into that
So they'd probably go through some sort of trauma
That would be delayed until it built up and hit them
But then it would just hit them and it would be so bad
Like equivalent to passing a kidney stone or birthing a child
Bc like I'm not sure I am not a doctor but pain is not real it's all in our heads and it's the body's response to say "no don't do that you're hurting yourself stop"
So it would make sense for that to be the response to this trauma
Or maybe their insides actually get fucked up
Maybe they get stomach ulcers or something idk??
