Ended up getting carried away by a whim and going back on basically everything I said earlier, but in hindsight, I like this more.
Name: Evie (not the pokemon, dammit) Black Age: 22 Sex: Female Appearance: A short, spunky girl with chin-length messy hair dyed crimson-red (originally black) and a fire in her dark blue eyes. Evie is 5 feet 2 inches tall, with a wiry build. She acts and dresses much like a 'punk,' usually seen wearing a lot of black or leather clothes. Her usual clothes consist of a black tanktop and skirt, accessorized with silver necklaces or leather belts. She also has a selection of black t-shirts that she cycles through, as well as black jeans for colder weather. She likes simple clothes that don't stand out much, but accentuate her physique and are comfortable. Her gear is carried in a stylish black-and-red camoflauge patterned satchel, which is large, but not unwieldy or anything. Her pokeballs hang easily from one of up to three thick leather belts she wears around her waist. Her accessories vary, but always in place is a thick steel chain she wraps around her wrist and travels halfway up her forearm. It has no function, but reminds her of her home for reasons she doesn't go into. Personality: Idolizing a certain poison-type trainer from Unova (despite being older than that trainer) Evie has taken to acting out a sort of punk-rock-chic character, and will take any opportunity to display how 'cool' she is in front of others. She is extremely proud, almost to the point of arrogance, and loves to take charge of a situation just to show how capable she is. And, in all fairness, she doesn't usually disappoint once she sets herself up to something. Still, her brash persona can easily get on peoples' nerves, and she isn't very receptive to other peoples' signals. In battle she acts confidently and with purpose, trusting everything to go right, even if things aren't going the way she anticipated. She clearly has total faith in her abilities and in her pokemon, and is capable of making spur-of-the-moment decisions based on only that. Beyond her obvious persona, Evie clearly has more than a few insecurities, hence her desire to mimic people she looks up to. She doesn't like to feel like she is being judged, and will get aggressive if people question her personality or life choices. Profession: Evie has been a trainer for some time, but a few years back she decided to take up breeding as a hobby. She travelled around a few of the regions collecting certain pokemon that she liked and trying to figure out how to get the most out of her partners' abilities. She is fascinated with pokemon who have uncommon traits or abilities. Talents: Evie's unique nature seems to be able to draw out the uniqueness in both people and pokemon. As a breeder, she has unnaturally good luck getting 'hidden abilities' and transferring 'egg moves.' With other people, she seems to empathize well with their insecurities, which either gets under their skin or creates a faint bond between them, depending on the personality of the other person. She has also proven adaptable due to her confident persona, and is easily able to roll with the punches, whether in battle or in life. She is the sort of person who could have everything taken from her and confidently start over from scratch (which, incidentally, is almost exactly what she is doing by coming to Sengun.) Starter Pokémon: Venipede (male) lv.5 - Poison Point - Defense Curl / Rollout / Poison Sting / Toxic Spikes (Bred from a Forretress) Evie wanted the vanilla Sengun League experience, so she has left her breeding business behind, save for one pokemon that she has confirmed exists on Sengun itself. While she is interested in Sengun's own starter pokemon, she settled instead on a pokemon that would emphasize her nature and remind people of how cool she is. This Venipede was recently bred by Evie herself, and while they don't share a particular bond just yet, she hopes they might in the future. Inventory: Aside from a basic selection of clothes and accessories, Evie has brought over the following: -10 Pokeballs -5 Potions -10 Antidotes (for use on freshly caught pokemon) -P$1000, cash, of course. -Her own specially mixed brand of hair dye, enough to last for the conceivable duration of her journey. -Her X-tranceiver, black. "If I need more stuff, all I gotta do is beat other trainers, right?" Hometown: Castelia City, Unova Biography: A spoiled, inner city kid who doesn't know the simple pleasures of country living. Or so her parents would tell her. Her home life was spent mostly uneventfully, aside from the usual teenage rebellion. Of course, her rebellious period still hasn't ended. She was never interested in the Unova League. Their focus on history and tradition was boring, she thought. Instead, she decided to strike out on her own and pursue strength in her own way. While still in her teenage years, she flew to Kalos, where she immersed herself in the counterculture scene, and she stayed with that group for a long time. As she crested into her 20s, Evie grew bored with the culture she so loved and flew back to Unova to separate herself from the people she used to run with, but she couldn't separate herself from Kalos' signature focus on style and culture. For a couple of years she travelled around the Unova region on her own, and she grew fascinated with unique pokemon and the breeding process. Thus began her hobby of collecting 'cool' pokemon and breeding them to see how strong they could get. Every so often she was offered money to do this for someone else, which she was more than happy to oblige, and it turned into something of a small business as well as a hobby, but she still never felt a particularly strong bond with any pokemon the way that trainers so often say. Ultimately, she decided that her new quest was to grow strong with pokemon in the way the stories always said. For a fresh start, she decided to take up the offer of the Sengun region to come test out their new Pokemon League. Selecting one prized pokemon to bring with her, she shoved the rest off onto her parents, and boarded a plane to Sengun. After her arrival, she contacted the number she was given, reserving herself a pokedex and arranging the start of her own journey.
