[b]Description:[/b] Ryota, on the exterior, comes off as a stoic, cool-headed young man, preferring the use of his fists, rather than the use of his words - since words can easily be meaningless and useless, while action would forcefully change minds and inspire actions. He is tough;; seen as a rough-housing delinquent or rebel, while Ryota himself keeps an over-all, everlastingly cool, neutral, disinterested personality, whilst managing to stay perceptive, intelligent, and very quick-witted. He's relatively fair and honest, although only loyal to those he deems safe enough to be loyal to. Despite his fierceness in battle, and his tough stoicness during other times, he still manages to be gentle in some aspects - such as walking old ladies across the street, or helping a cat out of the tree. However, since he hardly, if ever smiles or laughs - the most you being able to get out of him is a smirk or chuckle - most people are intimidated, and won't expect him to help them. Due to this, he mostly keeps to himself, and has learned not to expect thanks from unappreciative men or women. Due to his appearance and personality, it's not rare for him to have 'fans', but he's not interested in such things, and perpetually waves them off.

[b]Traits:[/b] Cool-headed, stoic, direct/blunt, tough, intelligent, seems neutral/disinterested. Tends to intimidate, but has an inward kindness.

[b]Background:[/b] Ryota was born to a rough part of Japan, with a hard-working, yet compassionate mother, and an abusive, drunk of a dad. Even from a young age, Ryo has shown the same strong-will he has in modern days, and despite the hard-knocked life he lived, he always cared for his mother, and often protected her from his dad's drunken nights and ravings. As he grew as a child, Ryota grew tough from his lifestyle. He eventually, despite his caring nature for his mom, got into some gang brawls and groups, and began to get into trouble at a young age. Due to this, his home life became more and more troublesome, until he snapped and fought back. It was the day where his father was hazed by his anger and inebriation, and, long story short, the man was knocked out after a brief struggle, Ryota having used his fists - calloused from hitting walls out of anger. The police came, despite not being good men themselves, and noting the signs of abuse and drunken rage, arrested his father. This is where his life began to...get better. His mother, unshackled by the stress of one Inoichi Sawada, got a job in a nicer part of town, and began having fun, once more. 

Meanwhile, Ryota got out of the gang life, and began taking fighting lessons, making sure that, no matter what, his mother would not be able to suffer what she had whilst under Inoichi's 'reign of terror'. He even got a job as a construction worker in his pre-teen years, using his above-average strength to his advantage, to help his mom out in the bills and general living. As he grew, he became known as the toughest fighter at the school, and no longer had to worry about physical fear. Any bullies that came after him was usually taken out with one punch or kick, Ryota not even having to take his hands out of his pockets. At the same time, he never really started the fight...things usually just happened, and in the end, yet another person was knocked out. It even happened to a few unruly teachers. Life was...decent, to say the least, and despite not showing overt emotions to his mother, she could always tell that he loved her dearly, and to the end of the world. Nothing would hurt her;; he would always protect her. Her name was Megumi Yamada, having taken the last name of her elderly father, rather than her husband's name, Sawada. The 'mysterious new students' didn't pique Ryota's interest, but the way they seemed off...it slightly made him wary, since he disliked random strangers popping up out of nowhere. There were all kinds of warped people alive. However, as long as they didn't cause him or anyone close to him harm, he would leave them alone.
