Escanaba in the Moonlight. It's a personally recommended comedy-documentary about life in the rural-UP.

But when I say "Rural UP" I mean "Rural UP" because the UP is more-or-less totally rural outside of Sault Ste Marie and maybe Marquette and Copper Harbor. If it has at least one stop-light, it's considered a big town up there.
