Reasons for making him an half-elf is to add a bit more flavour to the character. He has never really fitted in among any of the races due to being a bastard. Having trouble with himself as well as finding a place in society, is a big portion of his personality up to recent IC-events. Additionally, I kept it as half-elf because that would make everything I write plausible. How magic works in the world of the Witcher is not clean cut, so I basically tried to give myself enough leeway. Lastly, people can hate him for what he is, not just a sorcerer, but a sullied one to boot.
