Peter wasn't expecting Nikki to grab his hand, and to kiss it. She was definitely getting to Quill. The way she talked, moved, cared for him... He didn't get this caught up on women like he did Lexi. She reminded him of Earth. He wouldn't admit it, but he missed it. He missed the music, he missed sneaking out late at night on his small farm house to go night fishing at the creek. He missed his mom, his grandpa, the normal food, the movies... It sounded weird, but it she reminded him of those things. The way she danced to the music unlike the other aliens in the galaxy. Her curiosity of being with other people and cultures. The way she seemed to calm him down... He gave a squeeze to her hand, doing his best to sit up without making sounds of pain. "I'm going to have to stop you right there, Princess." Quill said, looking at her with a small smile. "We didn't assist you on this thinking this would be a piece of cake. We knew the risk, especially when we are known as the Guardians of the Galaxy. So I don't want to hear an apology, alright?" Peter asked, giving her hand another squeeze. "All I ask is that the high council keeps to their word about their reward... and back on earth, there was this tradition..." Peter began, giving a playful smile. "Back in the dark ages, whenever a heroic knight-- er, a warrior, saved the beautiful princess, he usually received... well, he got a kiss as a reward. But, you know.... Earth is very different from this part of the galaxy." Peter said, shaking his head.
