Glancing over from his current position, Alex could see others going about their own vacations, taking pictures and admiring the seashore. There was the potential to talk to them, that he would admit, but that could perhaps wait. At least for the moment anyway. Once he found someone that seemed worth talking to then he would. Part of this sort of thing was patience, and that he would employ in spades. Another look saw the woman next to him taking a picture using her phone, which wouldn't normally have been a problem if it wasn't for one detail he noticed at the same time. Admittedly, photography had never been his strong suit, but that was no deterrent to something as basic as this. At least, so he hoped. "You know, I don't think you're supposed to use a flash in the daytime, and directly in the sunlight no less," he pointed out nonchalantly as he shifted towards her, somewhat. Only enough to indicate that he was talking to her before adding to that, extending a hand to her. "Alex Daniels." This was as good a time to start as any.
