To be fair, if the armoured truck is pulling out of the garage it would still be accelerating and so wouldn't be travelling [i]too[/i] fast, but you do make a very fair point about just how much kinetic energy even a slow moving mass of 20 tons would be able to impart on a target. At the very least it would KO him on impact, unless he handled it correctly in the narrative.

This is all presuming the Gungirls went to the garage, of course.
