That rule is negated in the situation of conversation because it makes no sense to wait two posts when two people are talking and others are busy.
As for combat, I think everyone here is very cool and understanding about being fair. It will be a matter that everyone will get a chance to be the light or all of us working together and taking shots in. If need be, I can't set up a system to make it fair if it gets abused. This is why I said communication is key ^-^
