'Definitely a government facility,' she thought to herself, taking the time to look at all special locks on the rows of doors. They weaved back and forth a little, but Alex didn't find it too jarring as she was shown the separate rooms. She had always had a good visual memory, so keeping the general direction and distance of only three of them wouldn't be too hard - unless they ran this operation like some sort of military boot camp, then she might have some issues adjusting. Still, she wasn't entirely sure what to feel about the idea of always training in spite of the fact that she was dedicated and passionate about actually doing some good in the world. On her own though, she always made sure to make room for at least an hour of entertainment so she didn't go crazy with always 'working.' She had to admit though, free food at all times? She couldn't help but smile a little at that part. Not to say she was a pig or that she really needed to eat a whole lot, but on top of being a night owl and not needing as much sleep, knowing she could get a snack at three in the morning was a large comfort to her - after all, even McDonald's closed at that time in the morning. She was a bit curious what types of food they served though and prayed it wasn't poorly cooked food at the odd hours. Then came the room, to which her eyes grew slightly wide at how big it actually was. When she imagined sharing living quarters before she thought more of a dorm room, like having and forcing to be closer. This made her a bit more comfortable and she was especially pleased at having her own desk to set her laptop on. The mini-fridge was also a god-send that she couldn't thank the organization enough for. Alex guessed sometimes she was most impressed by the little comforts in life. Though Alex's attention easily focused on Anna when she said if she had any questions. She picked up on the fact that Anna was almost expecting Alex to ask at least something about the base or about what they'd do or really anything, which made her smile slightly. For some reason, it put her in a slightly feisty mood and tempted her to be stubborn about not asking anything at all. Though in all honestly the woman didn't really have much to ask... she figured most if not all of her questions would be answered within the next day or two. Then she was a bit torn between impressing Anna with her confidence or going a more friendly route by actually talking - then more thoughts and emotions of staying distant took over and she finally decided to talk. "Not at the moment... I am a little surprised they already grabbed my things... it'll be nice to make this place home, I guess.. seeing as we'll be here a while.." Alex figured that was the best way going about it, keeping some distance but not so much as to make everything awkward. They were going to be partners for a while yet she figured, so might as well be friendly at least. She went over to the mini-fridge and causally opened it up and closed it, then examined her new bed, sliding onto it to test how soft it was before finally glancing over to Anna with a small smile.
