From what I've seen of the collab, the whole Taene fight should be wrapped up shortly as is. Other than simply confirming that the manakete is beaten or otherwise incapacitated, there doesn't actually seem to be a way for Kel to contribute. 

That's just my judgement, however, and Lugubrious may in fact have a better idea of what's going to happen.
