[@Elitestpotato], And I'd like to say that Torrens by default outputs fire as ordinary fire, unless he wills it otherwise, which obeys standard physics and carries ordinary thermal energy. So Edict may be resistant to fire balls or fire bolts or flame shields or the like (since the only way those would hold shape is by magic), but if Torrens just unleashes an inferno Edict's going to roast.

In my opinion, the Empyrean (set to instant incineration) would burn either just the shield, or all of him, depending on the intensity.
