"Fight, Maker damn you!" Martin shouted out. The wolves came through with well over a dozen and were giving the militia a run for their money as they fought on against the agile beast. Some the ferocious wolves engaged in groups of two, using the natural tactic of overtaking bigger prey in numbers. Karras set his sight on those wolves first, dwindling down the chances of losing more people quicker. He raised his bow with the arrow knocked in already and let it sore through the air at the first of his targets. The arrow hit right in behind the wolf's shoulder blade digging deep into it's flesh and hindering it's movements momentarily as it was preparing to pounce on the unsuspecting shields-man. The wolf's pained whine was cut short immediately soon after another arrow pierced it's neck and landing with a lifeless thud. He let loose another onto on that had pinned down a militia warrior with his face to the ground and his back turned to the wolves. Acting in quick response, Karras dropped onto one knee and braced himself on his other and fully drew back on the bow. Once he felt the right tension on the string as he pulled it back, he let the full drawn arrow go, hitting a two for one hit as the power behind the soaring arrow pierced through the first wolf's skull and then into the second's ribcage knocking them completely off of the warrior. Though as soon as he fired it Karras was caught off guard as a smaller more agile wolf manged to bury it's hind leg claws into his back as it bury it's maw into his left shoulder. Karras dropped his bow as he clenched his teeth behind his bandanna and grunted from the pain. He grabbed a loose arrow that fell from his leather quiver with his right and stabbed at the wolfs left side. It's jaw unhinged from his shoulder for a second from the pain, but that lead to it's down fall as he then grabbed onto it's front legs and yanked the beast of his shoulder as it landed hard into the dirt packed ground. Before the creature could have a chance to recover from it's dazed stupor, Karras grabbed his bow and brought the metal point down onto its skull ending its life.
