Dimitri was at a loss right now, he wasn't used to dealing with people, let alone people that were in a dejected sort of mood. The meister's eyes darted from side to side, almost as if searching for the quickest route to run away now that he'd been given the choice. He wanted to run, but something kept him rooted in his seat. He felt somewhat bad for Alissa, what's more he felt that they were sort of cut from the same cloth. Both of them lacked companionship, and even though the reasons why were different, the results were still the same. Dimitri hesitantly reached out, a bit unsure about what he was doing. His hand hovered in the air for a few moments before he silently nodded to assure himself of what he was doing before he leaned across the table and placed his hand on Alissa's head. "I already agreed to become your partner, didn't I? Don't you think it's kinda goofy to give me the option to opt out? We're in this for the long haul.". He sat there ruffling her hair gently for a bit before sitting back in his chair, a small smile creeping in the corners of his mouth, "You won't be rid of me that easily.".
