There was nothing inherently wrong with Kaben's entree. It was interesting enough and worth a laugh but I didn't get the sense that he in any way read the prompt at all. I think he just saw Lug's thing about the battle with the Black Beast of Argh and ran with it. That and four fifths of his entree were almost directly copied from other works. It wasn't altogether a bad story but it failed to adhere to several aspects of the prompt so if anyone else puts forth a contest entree they are almost guaranteed come in ahead of Kaben.
