Name: Maki Souta | Stopman III Age: 28 Gender: M Hero, but his reputation is in the gutter. Powers: Exceptional physical fitness, as expected of a hero. Outside of that, he possesses the ability to pause time. It works on a charge, every five minutes of unstopped time giving the suit one minute of stopped time. The previous Stopman could also call in versions of Stopman from other worlds, but Souta has vowed never to make use of this due to personal qualms. Weapons: The Stopman suit. Is it alien technology? Something from another dimension? A mystical artifact? Futuretech? All of the above? Nobody knows. Additionally, he carries a duffel bag filled with lengths of rope, chains, locks, handcuffs, etc. for the purposes of restraining criminals. Personality: Souta is extremely casual in his crimefighting due to the fact that he's absolutely convinced that he's nothing special and that anyone in his situation would do the same. He doesn't care enough to correct his public image, as he is of the philosophy that people will believe what they want to believe, and trying to make them change their opinions is fundamentally pointless. Altogether, he's an easygoing sort of average guy who is perfectly willing to help people as long as he doesn't have to go too far out of his way to make it happen. History: Souta works at a temp agency, a job which often makes him wonder if he has stopped time on accident mid-workday, due to how little happens. Last June, while moving into his new apartment, Souta found a mysterious belt buckle beneath a loose floorboard. When activated, it transformed him into the hero of "justice", Stopman. Of course, the last Stopman's particular brand of justice was... not appreciated by the authorities or society as a whole. Not only was his method crass and vulgar, but he had a tendency to repeatedly assault one criminal without rest until they were utterly broken. Apparently, prior to his conviction for over 500 counts of assault (among other things), the previous Stopman had managed to hide the source of his powers, presumably so it wouldn't fall into the hands of a... worse evildoer? Souta couldn't quite understand the logic, but there were two things he did know. One, if he was going to become Stopman, he'd have to be exceedingly careful about his secret identity. Two, he was going to need some gear. So died Stopman II, hero of "justice", and in his place stepped Stopman III, hero of JUSTICE! Weakness: Stopman is, outside of the suit, an ordinary (if physically fit) human. Secondly, due to the previous user committing crimes against humanity, the cops and general populace pretty much universally despise him. Finally, Stopman has a code against killing and serious violence like his predecessor. Granted, it's for moral reasons rather than the previous Stopman's more vulgar ones, but the overall effect is the same. Other: Theme:
