Isabel did not remember much. She didn't know if it was some kind of drug these... people had used, or if it was a result of overusing her powers. But she could tell that this wasn't a normal prison. She had been in normal prisons. She was paired with a man, or, rather, a teenage boy. He was up and screaming at the bars, wanting food by the sound of it. A normal prison wouldn't pair women with men, unless it was just the drunk tank. But she saw no sunlight, and she was in a small cell in what appeared from her limited view to be a complex full of similar small cells. This was a long term prison, and it wasn't normal. "If you really think you're in danger of starving," she intoned in her quiet rasp from where she was now sitting up on her bunk, "Then you should conserve your energy. Sit down and stay still. Do you know what you're in for?" It wasn't the typical "what are you in for" because she suspected that he, like her, might be a little foggy on the details.
