A loud gasp escaped Mina's lips as Shadow was shot and killed, then turned into a growl. A fury flamed in her eyes, first for the "High Father" that had killed Shadow, then for Hag as he turned and ran. A deep growl of satisfaction left her throat as Hag was shot as he ran, but soon she turned her deadlygaze back on the man that killed Shadow. Fortunately for him he walked away, far away from her pointed tail that was aching to slash his throat.

When the vile man was gone she moved to Mortimer and kneeled beside him, looking at him. 'Mortimer....' she muttered lightly, but she didn't know what to say. 'Sleep well, little bringer of darkness...' she mumbled under her breath, brushing past his beak as she did before.
