1. Nirvana is NOT the main character, she is an NPC 
2. Your character lives a double life. Treat Dreamlove like meth. You don't exactly walk around telling people you do meth... Do you? Take your time fleshing out your character's story before they take Dreamlove and after they experience the Carnival. What led them to taking the risk and doing Dreamlove? What consequences does it bring when they come off it and how does it effect the world around them? Just somethings to think about. 
3. You can decide when your character comes off of Dreamlove and when they leave the Carnival. Remember though, there will be consequences for taking Dreamlove.
