Spinel hit the ground with as much of a thud that someone as light as her could. She looked up with dismay at the destruction that happened, because she and Aquamarine weren't strong enough. Dismay was one word, but she wasn't really sure what she was feeling. The flood of emotions she felt just before Kyanite fell apart were like nothing she'd ever felt before. Indeed, she may very well have gone her whole life without ever experienced something like what she'd just felt, and she would have been fine with that. Did... we fail because of me? She couldn't help but feel that they might have succeeded if she'd been a little stronger. Maybe if she'd put more on the line, been willing to offer more of herself up than simply let Aquamarine take full control. The feeling that she'd failed both her friends and the people living in the town hit her hard, nothing she'd been through so far in her life had prepared her for this. She became invisible. She didn't try to run, and she knew in the back of her mind that she would end up helping Aqua, but right now she didn't want to be seen.
