She dragged Danni to the gate and slipped through before the woman collapsed on her knees and clutched her head, screaming. Strange, she had been in a sort of trance beforehand, and suddenly this? Normally he wouldn't care, but Delilah was watching so he hopped down out of the tree and walked slowly towards Danni.

It was at that moments he sensed something coming, more like he heard something coming and then he smelled it. The scent of predatorial supernaturals. As an added precaution, he warped the gate in such a way that Delilah would not be able to sneak out of it by slipping through any gaps and it would make any intruders have trouble trying to get through it, by making spikes.
