Alright and the polls are in. I must confess I wished a few more people had participated but we work with what we've got. [@Lugubrious] Loved your entree. Though the prompt only actually called for you to convert Remnant into a medieval setting you went beyond that by merging it with Arthurian Legend. A very amusing piece to be sure. Those nods to Monty Pyton's Holy Grail did not go unappreciated. Though I'm curious as to why you didn't make use of Tristan, Iseult, or Percival I still found it to be a very enjoyable read which I wouldn't have minded going on for a bit longer then it did. Props to you for including Sir Beowulf's departure as an IC event :). [@KabenSaal] While I'm grateful that you chose to participate given the lack of interest in this contest I feel that you didn't put a particular amount of effort into your entree. Firstly, the idea was for you to reimagine Remnant as a medieval setting while I will say there were components of that in your story all of them were either copied from Lugubrious' entree or from Monty Python leading me to think that you didn't put any of your own creativity into the project. The other requirement the prompt included was that the King of Vale was holding a tournament to decide who would become his personal guard and join him on a crusade. There were absolutely no traces of this event in your entree. It wouldn't have been difficult to alter it so that the battle with the Black Beast of Argh was a challenge to the tournament which sort of leads me to believe you didn't read the prompt at all. Lastly both your fight with the Black Knight and your Black Beast of Argh were almost directly copied word for word from Monty Python and the Holy Grail. While instead of having the animator die you made it allergic to herring was amusing I would suggest you try to spice things up a bit in future if you are trying to do a parody. [@Crimmy] You're was truly an interesting read. The only bad thing I can really say about it would be that I do not believe the word "fuck" was used in common practice in the middle ages. Past that you're participation in the tournament, your fight with Napoli and your ending were all very well done. I especially liked your mentions of God and the Lord during your battle as he would have been considered a source of strength for knights during the medieval times and your specific and hostile mention that Napoli was a bastard as that would have been a big deal and a source of disgrace for the family. Over all well done. Now to announce the winner. With so few participants this is likely very predictable but in first place for Two Credits with his Arthurian retelling of Remnant is... Lugubrious. And second place for One Credit with an entree filled with bloodlust and cheese lovers is... Crimmy. I would post another contest but mine don't seem to be extremely popular with the masses. I will attempt to think of something that garners more interest for next time. Lugubrious I believe the next one is in your court unless someone else had an idea.
