I am not sure if he would or not. He is very confident that Avina will not be able to out alpha him. If she can become more dominate than him, she becomes the new Marrok and he thinks there is no way that could happen. I think it would be an awesome way to end, specially if Devin just gives in. ^.^

I could see her giving into his wishes most of the time, but when a story really pulls on her heart she would argue with him for that particular case. She will listen to reason. Eventually, lol. XD
