I think it's possible to play a daughter of one of the officers. What kind of job did you have in mind for her? Is she joining the ranks or will she be a camp follower? A cook or a tailor or something like that? I mean being a female in this kind of story is a lot of fun and if you're creative you'll have more options than the guys ;)
