I think the real thing where the difference is so big is the movies. Then you gotta remember that the X-men and other marvel movies don't co-exist, which I'm sure you know. A lot of the X-Men themselves, and the likes of Wolverine aren't frowned upon. I think the main thing that gets people in the comics about mutants is they aren't people [i]made[/i] different somehow. They're born different, and could be anywhere or anyone.
