Hugh fcused on destroying the wraith, lunging attack after attack. His determination to kill it was strong. He wanted to win too badly and he was too angry to lose. His mood was lightened a little, when he finally heard Sana speak. His face turned a little more sane, and he looked a little more cheerful. "A woman after my own heart." He said, responding to the words she spoke. Hugh was not alone in this fight, as the capable magus let lose attacks from behind the wraith. The monster would go down soon enough. It went low for a little, almost as if it was trying to recover some energy. Hugh squared himself away with it and gave a menacing glare. "Be at peace." He said, swinging his hammer into the wraith as it lunged at him. The edge of his hammer met the creature in its last attack. It suddenly became like a mist as his hammer sunk into it. The wraith began to disappear. It drew back from him in agony and screamed, before disappearing in a wisp of smoke. "You are at peace, suffering one. Your curse has been undone." He said, making a religious hand symbol across his chest as he said it. It was traditional of a paladin, and was a sign of respect for the dead. He was happy to see that the wraith was gone. Not only had it been a torment to others, but it was itself in torment. Hugh dropped his hammer, leaving one hand on the handle. He slightly leaned on it as he felt the pains he had suffered from all the fighting sink in. He was going to feel very sore after today, but he had finished it. The others would clean up the remaining skeletons and Hugh could make sure Sana was alright. He smiled, thinking only that he had finally won against tragedy. He stood tall and proud, knowing that he might have a chance at peace one day. He thought of how it would feel to hold Sana again, like he had when she fell, from the sleepsong, into his arms.
