There were several things Johnny was aware of as he was brought back from the brink. The first was that he felt like he had been put in an oven set to broil, every inch of his skin roiling in pain. The next was the irritating buzzing noise that wouldn't go away, it wasn't like actually hearing anything but it was internal and scratching at the back of his head. Finally came the pain at his abdomen along with the wobbling. As he cracked his eyes open he was blinded momentarily by the light. Within moments he was acclimated to the light but something else was wrong, his left eye was swelling shut and blurring his vision. Beyond that his clothes were heavily damaged by the explosion, ruining his jacket beyond repair but the most tragic damage came to his favorite shirt. Large burn holes were everywhere and several tears crossed out the print on it. "'Scuse me sir...but I, I can walk on my own." Johnny said, his words weak. It took some time and vigorous arguing on Johnny's part before his savior let him walk on his own, with a shoulder to lean on of course. With a forlorn look on his face, Johnny surveyed the area and felt a small amount of guilt for what happened. Something in the back of his head beyond the ringing telling him that he had a part to do in this carnage. "Damn....damn." was all Johnny could say as he looked on.
