"Newtypes are a legend where I come from, but it doesn't take a psychic to realize something is up. I rely on data," he said pointing at his mask. "These museum pieces can still pack a punch, but I can predict how they move, and what they will do. I suppose in a way, it's like being a new type. The closest person to being a new type I know of would be the grade skipper." He said. 
"So, the technology of your world, how are bullets ineffective? Some kind of beam armor?"
