Rebekah Green
Rebekah heard a muffled something coming from her roommate's bed, but it was hard to tell what exactly she was saying from under all of those blankets. She figured it would be best to leave them to emerge on their own. One shower later, and Rebekah was feeling much better about the early hour. Good pressure, hot water and adjustable height would do that to her. Bringing her firmly back to earth, however, was the sight that greeted her when she came back into her room. Her wardrobe was open, and had been rifled through. Apparently she would need to talk to her roommate about that later. For now though, she put everything back where it belonged, closed the doors, and used her power to enlarge them just slightly. At their increased size, the doors would be wedged tight against the frame, and should be very difficult to open until she came back to re-shrink them. Breakfast followed (muesli and hot chocolate) and then she found herself with about half an hour left before her first class. She took to strolling through the hallways, wondering who else she might bump into, when yet another loud exclamation reached her ears. If this was going to be a regular thing at this school, she might have to carry earplugs with her. “Ahem..any students willing to procure stone and crystal resources for my class, will be awarded either extra credit, or private lessons, depending on quantity. ..and quickness.” Declared a loud, french accented voice, followed a few moments later by “Sans tarder!” She assumed the last bit was french, and even though she didn't understand it, context gave her the general gist - "now or sooner". Thinking that she might as well check it out - she had time after all - she followed the sound of the voice to the end of the hallway, and a strong wooden door bearing a small black sign that identified it as a magic classroom where magic was taught by Professor Jacques Dragonheart Veilleur. Tentatively, she gave the door three quick taps and called out "Hello? I'm here about the stones."
The door, not firmly closed, swayed open to show the professor at work with carving tools on his desk. Similar workbenches were set up on the room for students, with an area set up in the middle for demonstrations and practical applications/testings of their classwork. "Ah yes, good, grand even!..excuse moi for a moment..a bit of carving at work. " Jacques smiled warmly, looking up from his current work, a Siwilo rune for demonstration. His crystal eye shimmering in the room's slightly dull light. "You're the first volunteer ms...eh, suppose it doesn't matter too much. I'll learn the names" he stated. Carefully dusting the partly carved piece of stone off of kicked up dust. He stood. "But yes, what will be needed. You see my dear mademoiselle, the facility neglected to allot sufficient materials." He began to explain, walking thoughtfully back and forth, occasionally stroking his chin. "Rune carving is after all not simple, and no doubt, most will need more than one attempt to correctly inscribe the symbols." Jacques added, turning to directly face Rebekah. "Now..What I need to be precise are slabs of soapstone, alabaster, and sandstone. As well as azurite and Quartz crystal samples. Though the last two are not as an immediate concern as the stone itself, it is good to stock up." He told the female student. "If you can gather those with haste, I can ensure rewards in class for it."
