There are two people using a combo of alteration and destruction. Matuna is using combat magic (a fusion of both) and Korthul, the half-orc, is using both alteration and destruction (but not fusing them together, like Matuna).

Counting your bitter middle-aged man, we now have three alterists.
Plus the Prince is an alterist, so now there are four :lol
