Name: Macey James Gender: Female Age: 21 Appearance: Brown eyes, brown hair just beyond the shoulder (more often than not, tied back while fighting). Olive skin, 5ft 7 with an athletic build – beyond that, ordinary as ordinary can be. For equipment, Macey wears thick leather that is especially fortified on her forearms, gloves (which are fingerless, so she can still operate her shotgun), knee pads and back. The armour is lightweight, designed with shock absorption and accidental falls from rooftops in mind. Being quite an acrobatic fighter who likes to be versatile with her surroundings, Macey dislikes armour plating. Magic: None Weapon: 1) Sawn off shotgun 2) A pair of short spears (meter and a half long, blade and handle combined) with a conical blade. The purpose of these weapons is to pierce monster weak points, rather than as a cutting edge. Only the tip of the weapon is solid iron, meaning it is rather lightweight. The handles are a thick layering of leather and rubber, allowing Macey to block physical attacks with them without fracturing or splintering the handle. 3) Simple iron short sword. Because hey, what hunter is complete without one? This is usually strapped to Macey’s back, unused in a normal fight except to carve away materials from monster parts. Bio: at 21 years of age and a recent university graduate, Macey lived a fairly standard life for a girl living in London suburbia. Macey remembers that she used to work as a Nurse, and often dreamed of being a doctor. She also used to remember contracting a sickness from one of her patients, and being critically ill for a very, very long time. Everything else – family, and home life, remain a mystery to her after awakening in this strange world. In fact, the only thing she remembers clearly is the time she spent working, and the time she spent ill in the hospital. The last time she fell asleep, she whispered a short prayer… before waking in a monastery in a foreign world. Personality: During her normal life, Macey normally kept to herself. The most important things to her was her job, her music, and her religion – needless to say, conversation between other people was scarce. She would rather keep straight forward with people, since she only communicated on a business level. Her most recent illness sucked out all last traces of humour from her personality; although she wouldn’t be described as a cold person, most people find her difficult to approach. However, Macey’s inquisitive nature on life and her joy in finding out how things work remained intact. She is much rather attracted to “things” rather than “people”, and as such is incredibly perceptive to her surroundings. Her natural understanding of the world was limited to inanimate objects though, as Macey is often a terrible judge of character and cannot seem to read subtle human emotions easily.
