Now that Kiton was tagging along they could finally get moving, hopefully find themselves a decently large meal after training. It hadn't been all that strenuous really, but it didn't take much for either of the boys to work up an appetite it seemed. Following alongside Shu, Takeshi daydreamed briefly about getting another big fish until the Frost Demon's voice broke up his thoughts. "Eh? We're not gonna steal from these people, that'd be wrong," the older boy commented, smiling sheepishly as he looked at Shu, "Though we kind of did steal from those soldiers on Kaesstra... But they were jerks! The people here are nice, you know? It wouldn't feel right. And who cares if hunting takes a while? That makes it all the better when you finally get to eat!" If they just went right ahead and tracked down a large animal too then they'd only have to kill one thing, which should cut their time significantly. Shu was easy by comparison, soon as they found some fruit he could go bananas, no pun intended. So far he'd not seen much in the way of fruit, but that was probably because they were still pretty close to the city. Once they got out a bit deeper they should find plenty of fruit, and tons of animals to hunt to boot. "You're right, it doesn't change that it happened, but he can make amends for it," Aito offered in rebuttal, "Vegeta doesn't feel proud over what he'd done, and I'm positive he'll do whatever it takes to regain your trust and bury the hatchet, so to speak. Just give him a chance, at worst nothing changes, at best you both feel better for it and can move on with your lives." The doctor would not comment about Viral trying to be sold still, if only because his response was a bit callous; in his broken and unpredictable state no one in their right mind would take his son, a sad but true assessment. Even the Saiyans wouldn't want him back now, of that he was certain. "Am I? At one point in your life you acted as though you were part of it, even if you were different. You're focusing too much on physical appearances, but family extends beyond just that. Family is something you can call home, its people who you feel connected to and can trust. Family isn't just biological either, they're anyone who you consider close and would entrust yourself to. I know currently it's hard to see that, but everyone around you is more or less your family. You may not be outwardly close to them, but I'd wager that most everyone would give a lot to see you happy or safe. Once we make some headway perhaps you can see this for yourself, and maybe that will help you feel better too." "I think Yumi was part of a program the King was doing, trying to turn people into... Whatever Viral is. From the way they talk about her though it sounds like she was just a human before though, which has to suck..." T'charrl and Yumi shared that then, didn't they? Albeit T'charrl was still his same species, just looked different; Yumi was the same as Viral now, and while both of them looked similar to humans, according to his friend anyways, they smelled differently. It was hard to say since Haku had seen the hairy, animal-like humans as well, but they were different from Viral and Yumi. Getting lost in musings over the morality of power, a concept most definitely well over his head, he blinked in surprise when he found T'charrl near leaning into him, apparently scrutinizing him for something. Smiling sheepishly and awkwardly he chuckled when the alien seemed happy with his reply, breathing a silent sigh of relief he'd said the right thing. Hearing T'charrl come to some sort of revelation was nice, even if Haku didn't fully understand what it was he was talking about. "You're everyone's friend no matter what you look like, don't think they don't like you now just because you're different," he added, nodding his head before smiling, "I mean... They accept someone like me, and look how we met. If they can do that then they can definitely accept someone like you, no question. Whatever you decide they'll be behind you, just like how you want to be behind them. Heh... Guess everything works out in the end, huh?"
