Powers/Abilities: 

Miko (Shinto priestess): She has power to raise and destroy barriers, bless and purify, and sense the presense of demonic and spiritual beings. While she never had the power to heal she had a great gift for shamanism; communing with spirits of the dead and channeling them. She is not a fully trained miko, given she has neglected  deepen her studies to learn swordsman ship, but remains one of the more skilled shaman you will find. 

Possession: Shinju is able to call on 3 spirits to aid her in battle, channeling them into herself through her blade and shamanic abilities. Each one has a unique effect on her battle capabilities. These can only be used while she is holding her sword in her hands and only one at a time and only for a short time. 

"Strong Father": Sinju is enveloped in a misty red aura. While Channeling 'father', her physical strength is greatly increased enough where she is able to even cut through stone. her speed is no greater than her neutral state

"Swift Mother": Sinju is enveloped in a silvery mist. While channeling 'mother' her speed and agility is greatly increased enough to where she can match even great shinobi. Her strength is no greater than her neutral state.

"Enduring Brother": Sinju is enveloped in a blue mist while she channels 'brother, though not as completely as the others. It will focus about her forearms, shoulders, and shins; and appear much like she is wearing ghostly samurai armor. The ethereal armor can turn even powerful attacks, but She is even slower than normal in this state


Holy Sword: Her sword; Saigo no Kiyo ( Last of the pure ) is a specially made blade. It's an Odachi ( Great sword as seen in picture) and one of the only artifacts in her family's care to escape the fate that befell their shrine.  It is naturally strong against demonic and other spiritual entities and energies but best against demonic. She must regularly purify the blade and is careful to never spill the blood of a mortal human with it as it would weaken its blessings. She uses this blade to channel her miko abilities, with out it her ability to perform her miko skills is greatly reduced and  far more taxing.

Swords woman: She is a  slightly above average swords woman, who wields the large heavy Odachi with surprising ease, though not as easily as she does her normal katana. With her special blade and the ability to channel her shamanism to alter her strength she is a deadly foe in close combat. She carries a normal sword with her for dealing with bandits and such to keep from using Saigo no Kiyo on mortals.

Other:  No one is sure if those 3 spirits she uses in combat are her actual family. The ghost spirit orbs of her 'family' can sometimes be seen floating by her out of the corner of one's vision but never seen if looked directly at her. While few people ever catch a good look, it seems that there is a 4th spirit that hovers about her. When asked she responds by saying "I have no intention of acknowledging that one'
