[INDENT]At first glance Daniel appearance as the average Joe nobody would ever notice crossing them on the sidewalk, with a somewhat normal size in height and a face that expressed little singularity. The most notable trait one would notice when speaking to Daniel face to face would be his receding hairline bordering his large forehead and the important mass of hair he keeps combed backwards in a somewhat archaic style. One would easily mistake that hair for blonde, but in reality they're light brown with a hint of grey on the edges, just over the ears. Under the multiple defined waves on his forehead, his eyes are surprisingly very expressive, the hazel colored orbits displaying a vast amount of emotion with only a few movements of his eyebrows. It is complemented by the constant black circles, a result of his sleeping problems and recent lifestyle. A broad nose and thin lips seal the deal concerning his facial traits, with only the dirty, unshaven beard he trims every week. 

Around his neck is a silver pendant he's been wearing since the age of 10 and is another element easily noticed when conversing with the man. With medium sized shoulders and arms broad enough to indicate a certain level of self-preservation, he doesn't give off the vibe a weak individual, doomed to be remain low in the food chain. Daniel's hands are relatively large as well, enough so to actually hurt tough men with a simple slap, one could call them workers hands. His chest is somewhat well defined, but his age has made them lose their form for a while now. A feature shared with his abdomen which is now giving birth to a growing beer belly, a result of age as well and a thinner physical training schedule. 

Finally, a feature that he was grandly renown for during his teens and young adulthood would be his great ass. Indeed, as much as it may seem uncommon among men, he received a lot of praise from women (and some men) about his well shaped posterior which he did indeed maintain up until now (he doesn't forget leg day). A combination of frequent jogging and past physical prowess has allowed him to maintain healthy and muscular legs.[/INDENT]

[INDENT]Depending on the weather his attire varies, but he's usually seen with a black turtle neck and skin tight shirt with blue jeans. His black belt is said to be useful for hiding a handgun behind his pants, but he'll usually store his weapons in a Burberry beige coat he wears during his work. As for shoes, he always keeps them pretty classy with the typical business-like pointed shoes, with frequent polishing no less.[/INDENT]

[b]Innate & Outward Personality:[/b]
[INDENT]The first impression one would get from seeing the current Daniel would be that he's tired and more than likely sad. His facial expression does give off a feeling of dissatisfaction, almost as if he's aloof toward the environment surrounding him ad well as others. This comes with his pretty slow body language for he is a man that likes to take his time and severely dislikes to be rushed. Added to that factor is his near addiction to coffee; it wasn't uncommon to see him with a mug filled with steaming liquid on his desk at every part of the day, but he really loves his caffeine.

When engaging with him, he still maintains a rather disinterested look as if he were barely considering others' opinions on top of considering them at all. But as he speaks, one would notice his strong ability to take in information and retort the information in a way that it would be clear that he acknowledged it all but would say it in a way that would make it clear what points he wants elaborated. He is a great listener, a quality that served him well during his years in law enforcement and eventually leading small teams. In terms of eloquence, people refer to his long winded speeches and lectures as 'story being told', like the history teacher you'd wish you had. But that also entailed his lack of ability to recognized when people didn't understand him, a contrario to his ability to indicate when he doesn't. He's capable of blathering on about current economical problems to pre-teens who don't give a damn and he'll be oblivious to their lack of understanding. 

When talking about composure, he rarely appears stressed despite what he ingests in a regular basis. He's actually quite calm when dealing with tensions and rarely has to raise his voice. However calm isn't the best way to describe him, he easily becomes passively-aggressive when he doesn't quite agree with an opinion, and may become aggressive to someone if things are taking a bit far. All that without ever screaming at someone. He doesn't believe in ruling with tyranny, or at least he didn't when he was working. Handling his siblings on the other hand was the typical Spanish, low-class family style. Plates flying and random swears in various languages being thrown around. This controlled behavior is also translated well in heated situations such as combat, where even confronted with death or major wounds, he keeps a collected mindset. The only downside is that he isn't the best of planners and would sometimes give away to the easier alternative than an overly complex one, for better or for worse. 

Nonetheless, he has all the know hows to behave in social groups and in a professional area, however in a household, as stated with his family, he is quite the different man. Sure he is often seen as a man capable of making and taking a joke between friends, but with family he can be pretty severe. He already divorced once out of massive discord with his ex wife, and currently arguments with his current wife can be heard by all the neighboring Asian folks who simply want to mind their own business, but can't. Luckily he's respected enough in the area to be tolerated in these instances. We can say that he's a pretty solitary man, and doesn't stand having his personal bubble being invaded too much, at all. This stems endless conflict in a couple that searches for harmony together. 

In general, it can be said that Daniel is a rather generous man that never intruded in other people's lives. His sense of justice and understanding has led him to act for the benefit of those who have long since wasted their second chance in the eyes of society, especially with youths. But ever since his departure from his job, he's been a lot more apathetic toward all the killings going on and the the deterioration of the city he's lived in for most of his life.[/INDENT] 
[b]Hobbies/Interests:[/b]
[INDENT]A piano learner, even if he's quite old now, he wants to catch up on some lost time. He has been learning for about a year now, but he's not that good. Having sex with his recent wife is of great interest to him, despite all the disputes they may have before the deed is actually done. 
On a daily basis he goes out for walks and uses it as an excuse to watch over the neighborhood for strange activity. The ex enforcer in him simply can't resist looking over the growing criminal activity in the area.[/INDENT]

[INDENT]He currently works as a private investigator, making him a skilled information gatherer. He was once of NEST, so intensive physical training entailed, notably in hand to hand combat and marksmanship. Although he remained average on those, he was once a national champion in kick boxing, giving him an edge in this type of fighting style.

He's also a really good swimmer, though he didn't win any trophies there his parents always told him that he was in his element when swimming. Daniel honed his IT skills during his time off, as a hobby at first, but now as a job. He doesn't actively hack, but has ways to bypass certain obstacles and get certain things done.

[b]History/Bio:[/b]
[INDENT]Born in New York city, Daniel was given American nationality like his siblings thanks to these circumstances, while his parents were Belgian. They did eventually get nationality as well, but if we speak of upbringing, Daniel's was majorly focused around American culture. Up until the age of 11, he lived in the same state with a couple of changes for his father's work but in general if went off pretty well. But afterward, his father had a unique job offer as supervisor in an Airbus firm in Belgium which he couldn't refuse. And thus, the young Skornieski's were forced to abandon their previous acquaintances in order to move to their homeland and start anew. 

Life was decent, there were not troubles and Daniel was considered a bright student in his class, often ended up top or near the top of his medium sized classes. There were a lot of great expectations from his father and his entourage, especially when business became so good with the rise of Meta-human presence. Opportunity rose and Verthaven, The Green Haven as his father would call it, was just the place to go. After all, they had a vacation house in the coast and they'd go to Verthaven ever summer despite the increasing dangers lurking there. No accidents happened when they went as a family as it was in a relatively safe zone, but it would be at the age of 18 that Daniel would contradict all hopes put upon him. 

The manifestation of his Meta-human powers came forth near his 18th birthday and started off as a small spark of heat emanating from his right hand. Eventually he'd manage to heat his arm as if he had known how to do it since birth, but it was still something he could barely understand and didn't actually see what he would use it for other than delivering Pimp Slaps. It would be when he'd touch his lamp that he'd figure out a bit more as to what he was dealing it. As expected, it exploded, but in a controlled fashion. The pressure release was weaker to his direction and left holes on the opposing wall. Of course, he freaked out, but he'd later dismiss it out of fear of his parents knowing. 

Swallowing his pride, he confronted his father about taking on business internships he had Guan xi'd the hell out of, exposing his desire to become police officer as his mother was before birthing her children. His sense of achieving justice and helping those in need overwhelmed his naive mind and made him act against what would be common sense nowadays. His father didn't take it too well, and after a quick argument, the party table fell victim to the same fate as the lamp. No one was hurt due to it being a little more intentional than the first burst, but Jon did take a hit. This caused the schism between father and son and motivated Daniel to indeed move to Verthaven, not to conduct business, but to possibly make a difference. The problem was, he was a meta-human, and he was redirected to the NEST. 

His experience there was what one would expect, he'd follow harsh training while being educated on the properties of his ability. From what they could understood, he functioned like nuclear reactor simulating a dying sun's symptoms. He emanated a large amount of radiation that could be channeled in two various ways and eventually combined for a concentrated attack. But the origin of such destructive power remained somewhat mysterious as his body alone would likely breakdown from producing such strong energy. The Cosmic subclass of elementals was the best lead to go from, and it did pay off as his power would eventually be traced to a nearby Neutron Star releasing a specific radiation only visible by Daniel's presence but otherwise impossible to detect through current technology. 

(I will not detail NEST stuff since he wasn't that important and I'm not too informed about it). At the age of 35, he finally stopped working after hearing of his brother's passing. Peter, Daniel's brother, was killed in a shootout. Like Daniel, he was working for the law but he didn't end up with lucky genes to give him an edge in combat. Actually, only his sister reported that she had strange visions of people but couldn't make anything out of them. This eventually demotivated him from working in such a risky profession and led to the eventual divorce between him and his wife. He needed to start anew. 

After a year, he opened his own Private Investigation office for people needing information about other people. He wouldn't hesitate to use techniques he learned while working for NEST to get the job done. He ended up re-marrying too, quite happily this time. His desire to keep the population safe did get the better of him at time. He'd motivate himself to do regular neighborhood watches in a pretty hostile street, but it didn't scare him. This got him close to his neighbors, the Ikaido. One of the rare Japanese families he'd come across in these parts.[/INDENT]

[INDENT][b]Betty Skornieski[/b] - Current Wife - A beautiful 30 year old woman who said yes to him after three months of dating. They currently get along pretty well despite all the arguing. She's the center of his world right now, at least in small talk she is.
[b]Elise Dumontel[/b] - Ex wife - Daniel's bitter ex wife who does what typical ex's do: Hate. Well, at least she isn't talking him, but she's vicious when they cross paths. 
[b]Jon Skornieski[/b] - Father - A bumpy relationship exists between the two men since Daniel's majority. Many disagreements have led to little communication between the two. He currently lives in Belgium. 
[b]Selma Skornieski[/b] - Mother - A mother who never gave up on her son even after hardships occurred. Despite wrong choices, she's always supported him. She lives with her husband.
[b]Peter Skornieski[/b] - Older Brother (deceased) - A tragic shootout opposing Daniel's older brother and a couple of delinquents led to his death two years ago.

[INDENT][b]Atomic infusion:[/b] The major factor that serves as influence for this ability is the characteristics of a dying sun, a supernova. Of course the scale of which this ability manifests itself is nowhere near a supernova's. Like many under the cosmic class, Daniel holds a strange and empowering connection to an already dead star: The Neutron Star RX J1856.5-3754, the closest one to earth. The ability manifests itself in three different ways: [list]

[*][i]Massive Fusion:[/i] Manifested through his right hand, Daniel is capable of channeling nuclear energy through his right arm and cause it to heat up (incinerating his sleeve in the process). The hit itself can leave 2nd and 3rd degree burns to alien flesh, however the power relies on infusing the unstable energy into matter. The infected matter will be coated in a bright white aura before exploding. Essentially, when his hand touches turns into a bomb. The strength and spreading of the energy depends on how much he power he spends on it, and will always leave flames in the area. However there are no signs of nuclear poisoning. His arm can take a few heat ups before suffering from burns as well. 
Simplified: He turns stuff into bombs, can't be that big but can go up to exploding under someone's feet if they're ten meters away. Repercussions vary by that factor.

[*][i]EMP strike:[/i] His left hand uses the accumulated power to release a strong electromagnetic field in order to disable all electric based appliances and tools in the area. Daniel must charge in energy for about a minute before releasing the field at about 150 meters in radius (about 500 feet). 

[*][i]Supernova:[/i] Using both aforementioned abilities, Daniel is capable of stabilizing a certain amount of his fusion energy into a soft ball sized sphere, bounding it inside a concentrated electric sphere so it would maintain its shape. These spheres gravitate around him like planets until he decide to hurl them in one direction at the speed of a fast ball being thrown by a decent pitcher. If they get into contact with large enough matter (minimum size would be something the size of a fist), it will instantly fuse with it and turn into a strong explosive, ready to explode. Depending of the density as to what it fuses with, the devastation may vary (more lethal with higher density such as rock, weaker effects on clothes but strong amount of heat and flames produced.)[/list][/INDENT]
[b]Limits:[/b]
[INDENT]Massive Fusion, after about 4 uses, will start to burn Daniel's hand and arm with first degree burns and muscle pain, but that can be reduced to 2 if he goes for longer ranges or stronger blasts. The EMP usage can only be used once every 3 hours and requires charge time (mentioned earlier). Supernova can be generated up to 6 times before he hits the typical Meta-human limits, going overboard could cause pre-Ashing symptoms that greatly reduce his performances, but would not be permanent. Going over 10 however will be his lethal limit.[/INDENT]
[b]Weaknesses/Drawbacks:[/b] 
[INDENT]Using strong material as shield is key for any of the explosions he creates, though the great push backs are usually inevitable. Wearing clothes is quite efficient to survive the sure death strike of a Supernova as they not only suck in the energy instead of the flesh, but will leave burns instead of a massive hole. Using random materials scattered around is a good way to neutralize the supernovas before they even get in range.[/INDENT]

[INDENT]He has a much stronger resistance to radioactive substances than average humans, but he isn't immune to radioactive poisoning. It will rarely be lethal to him, but can still gravely affect his performances if exposed for too long.[/INDENT]
