Callan let her mother lead her to Silver's bedroom. There she changed into light weight pyjamas and climbed into bed laying on top of the blankets rather than under them. "I'm sorry if I've ever disappointed you." Callan whispered to her mother barely looking up at her gentle face. "I understand. I always baked cookies before the reaping. I know it sounds weird but I figured if I was ever chosen my family could have one last happy memory from me." He explained looking at the reflection of the moon on the ocean's surface. "I'll be up early anyways- I only sleep in if I'm sick. I usually go help my cousins bring in some fish, but I'm sure they will understand about tomorrow. But for right now let me walk you home."
