The hardest thing about being a Kryptonian now for Isaac is his lack of needs. He doesn't need to sleep. He doesn't need to eat. He doesn't need food or water. All he needs is some sun, and he's as good as new. That's the reason he spends most of his mornings on the roof of Titan's tower, looking out over the beautiful ocean water. Watching the sun rise, and the way the light reflects off the surface of the ocean and sparkles like a diamond makes up for his inability to sleep. But Isaac isn't up here just to gawk over the earth and it's natural beauty. No, the roof top was the best place for him to work out. While the tower had a perfectly functioning gym with the highest quality equipment in the city, it lacked much natural lighting; Isaac found that working out under the sun helped him keep his energy up. Right now, Mister Grant was honing his hand to hand combat skills. They weren't exactly impressive, and all this self-training felt like a waste without any sort of foundation to build off of. He could always ask one of the other Titans to help. None of them were the next Robin, but a few of them knew how to hold their own. "No." Sentinel growled at himself as his fist collided with steel. A normal sandbag wouldn't exactly stand up to a Kryptonian's blows, so Sentinel borrowed one of Superman's training dummies. It was a four foot by two foot box made of some alien metal. When dented, the metal would regenerate itself within seconds. The metal itself was pretty durable too. But of course, nothing is perfect. Even this alien material had its breaking point, and Sentinel still had to hold himself back. "Everything is too damn fragile!" Sentinel yelled as he punched a massive hole in the box. The chains that held it to the roof snapped as it went flying off into the ocean. Isaac dragged another metal box over to the chains and attached it to the roof. "I'll get it later." He muttered. He'd said the same thing about the other twenty siting on the ocean floor right now. Sentinel started to pound on the dummy, with little regard for style or skill. Metal screeched and grinds as fist impacts dummy. There's not a person in this tower who would last more than a minute in a spar against him. Why weren't his teammates tougher? Why can't they pull their own weight?! If only they were stronger, they could help him. Isaac stopped hitting the target for a moment, letting the metal regenerate its dents and tears. "It's not their fault. They were born that way. They are flesh and bone. Blood and guts...And flesh bleeds!" Sentinel whipped around and slammed his fist into the dummy. The chains groaned under the attack. "Bone breaks!" Isaac kicked the dummy, and the chains snapped again. The metal box went flying after its brothers, soon joining them in the water. "Why can't you be stronger!" Sentinel yelled as he grabbed another box and tossed it onto the roof. His eyes glowed crimson as he melted the dummy faster than it could regenerate. He turned around again, grabbing another dummy and wailing on it. "It was just water! Why couldn't you get out in time?! Why didn't you wait for the rain to stop?" Another mutilated dummy found itself in the water, and another took its place. "You turned dad into a monster. H- He wasn't strong enough...Not without you." Sentinel stopped and looked at his hands. "It's all my fault." Water fell into Isaac's open palms, and he was confused for a moment. Was it raining? Why did his eyes sting? Why was he so weak? "Titans, suit up and meet me in the hanger. We've got a bogey and he's a strong one so I hope you all ate your wheaties this morning." Rose? Isaac turned around and wiped his eyes. Where was she? He didn't see her. Oh, wait. The communicator. Sentinel looked at the little round, yellow device on his belt for a moment. Strong, huh? Good. Sentinel needed someone strong in his life. Isaac leaped off the side of the tower and landed with a massive thud on the ground. He turned and walked inside the front door, glancing around the lobby before heading off toward the hangar to meet the rest of the titans. Just another Monday.
