I did say a simple thing such as a T-shirt from Target can stop the attack. Meaning anybody can defend against it lol. Sure for bombs being dangerous near him. 

I am unsure what's the problem with it blowing up flesh. A sword having contact with your abdomen, with or without clothes, will bifurcate you and you'll likely be in position where you'll die. You can block as sword with the right tool, you can block these projectiles with anything (okay maybe not grains a salt). 

So I make it affect inorganic things. Ok I don't mind.
