Watching as she gave him some answer, then watching her pace back and forth in front of his bed. His brows scrunching together, as she gave him a bit more of the answer. Shifting just to get in a more comfortable position, making sure to keep his weight off his leg and he wouldn't hit his arm. Once shifted James looked back up at her. Blinking slightly when she said his eyes. That she had seen the pain and sadness in them. His gaze moving to the bed as he mentally cursed himself in his head. He had to get that under control some how though he probably doubted he could. When she said that he had no one, he stiffened slightly in response memories rushing through his head though he shook them off. Nodding as she said that no one shouldn't feel as alone as he did. "I have my reasons for being alone, but right now maybe once I get to know you better I can trust you with the secret as to why I'm alone." He mentally hit himself for saying that he couldn't take it back now. The gods were truley cruel to do this to him once more.
