The ride to their destination could have been much worse if JC didn't have his warm ice cream with him. Mostly everyone around him was quiet. They hadn't been together long, but you could tell that they were finding it difficult to become buddy buddy with each other. Everyone in their group had their flaws. He was no exception, but he didn't care much for that. He wasn't here to make friends or even be in a relationship. The closest thing he had was the inevitable attraction to Evander, but that had something to do with his power of attraction. Damn the gods for creating such a being. He tried to fight this attraction by either commenting on his little friend whether it be mentally or vocally. He also tried not to look at him to ease things. He looked around at his teammates on the T-Wing. They were an interesting bunch. He had to give them that. Rufus had decided to run his way there instead of joining everyone in the ship. He probably would have done the same, but he felt it was a waste to use his ice to travel the distance. The guy had a sour attitude and was often seen as a perfectionist. Of course he'd want to make sure that he was fully prepared for whatever he was about to run into. Next was Sandstorm or the Sandman. The latter seemed more fitting. Not only did he manipulate sand, but his costume and faceless mask made it seem perfect for someone who would put people to sleep. He didn't know much about him though besides the possibility of him being from Australia due to his accent. He wasn't surprised he didn't know much about any of his teammates. He wasn't really the communicating type. At least not when it came to being friendly. Next was the seclusive powerless member of the team. They were a bit alike. He could tell that right off the bat. If there was ever a campaign against the anti-smoking campaign she'd be the perfect smokesperson for it. She screams, "I smoke and I'm the most badass teen you'd ever meet." She probably wasn't all that wrong. He gave her and Rose the most acknowledgement just because of how confident they seemed when it came to being in the hero game without super powers. Of course Rose was a bit more enhanced than a normal human, but it didn't really mean much once you really thought about it. If she ever reached the level of her father she'd be more than a handful, but let's not get into father talk. His eyes wandered over to Rhea now. She seemed small and the least fitting to be a hero. When it came to combat she didn't pose much of a threat. Her powers were more of the supportive type. At least from what he knew about her. So far he just knew that she could help people regenerate. Maybe there was more to it than he currently knew. Not like he'd go out of his way to find out. He especially wouldn't ask her about it and that was partially due to how broken her English was. He wasn't sure if he'd be able to understand her. Up next in the roster was Microbat or Man-Bat Jr. His powers were useful in combat and something he'd have to look out for if he was ever controlled by an enemy. The last thing he needed to be on the battlefield was disoriented. That could speed up his death. JC now turned his attention to Zane. The resident Homo-Magus. He didn't know much about him except that he belonged to the famous Zatara family. Other than that he knew that his magic was something useful. Especially so if Sentinel the Teen of Angst ever lost control. He was next on his list to think about on this plane ride. They were somewhat alike. They both spent their early mornings on the roof of the Tower training. But he felt like was the kid in school who tried too hard to be angsty and edgy. He doubted that it was working though. He was sure that everyone could see through it. Next on his list was Ariel or Whirlpool. Her real name fit her rather well considering her powers over water. It was almost like her parents planned it out that way. Either that or she changed her name. Her powers complimented his the most. He already thought of different strategies where they could combine their powers to benefit them in combat. He of course didn't talk to her about it though, but if she was smart she probably figured some ways out as well. To him she was the most attractive one on the team and she didn't need some weird power to make him feel that way either. Looking at you, Evander. His thoughts were interrupted by Rose getting up and showing them who they were going to face. Lobo, the Bounty Hunter. He was something that the League should face. Right now it seemed like they were lambs headed to the slaughter. Jeremiah knew that the teens wanted to be seen as independent and able to take care of things on their own, but the League couldn't really think they could handle this on their own, did they? It was almost like they didn't care about whether or not they fell in combat. He could have mentally gone on and on about this, but they reached their destination and it was time to get his head in the game. He had finished his ice cream before getting off the ship and listened to Rose's orders. He was on Alpha Team and was responsible for handling the tiny gremlin thing in the mech suit. Team Beta was supposed to take care of Lobo. He felt like the priority names were switched in this case. Instantly everyone went into action except for him. He was taking everything in. Evander provided the defense for Alpha Team while Pistolera was shooting and throwing frag grenades. He winced a bit when the latter was thrown. When he recovered he noticed that she was diving for cover. He decided to remain behind Evander to make sure he didn't end up getting blasted by a cannon while trying to figure out a course of action. He had just noticed that Zane had tied the mech suit in chains, but he knew that wouldn't hold for long and that the movement being halted wouldn't stop the firing of weapons. They needed something else to use the trigger happy alien mech suit. It started raining from the fire sprinklers in the restaurant thanks to their bat friend. This could work. It could work. He turned his head to see the progress of the Beta Team. They were going for a rock-em sock-em approach with the added effects of lasers and screams. He also noticed that the civilians were gone which meant they could go all out now if they wanted to. He returned his attention back to his own situation. Whirlpool was conjuring up water and liquid from the entire restaurant and using it to douse their Gundam opponent. This was his chance. To secure the liquid still outside of the wiring he turned moved to the right side of Evander and opened his palm to blast the Krolotean with ice. He moved his hand to cover up most of the suit with ice making sure to leave the cockpit alone. "Now. Amazon, hold yourself sturdy." His tone was more serious than just simply dry and cold this time. He quickly moved back to the back of Evander and jumped up off his shoulder while forming what appeared to be a staff of ice in his right hand. When he reached his target he jabbed the staff right into the cockpit hoping to fully end the scuffle there by trying to disrupt and destroy it from within. Now he just had to make sure to get out of the way in time or else his reign as a hero would end soon after it started.
