I'm honestly trying to think of what to say really. Like, I'm mostly a mellow dude who grew up playing Final Fantasy, Breathe of Fire, Fire Emblem. Wild arms even to the Tales of Series. Xenogears, Xenosaga, even watched all of Xenoblade in it's entirety to Shenmue. Played Dragon Age, Dragon's Dogma, The Witcher. The Witcher is my biggest inspiration for character because of how well they land the human nature of others. Watched all sorts of anime growing up to reading some books I cannot even recall. Yet I thought GITS nailed psychology the best. And I've always tried to break away from cliches in my writing by following what is logical to the character and set pieces. Yet, from the beginning I was like "Sure, I can be a summoner." I nerfed him a lot for that. "Sorry, me and don't think you fit as a summoner." So I thought we could use a different method due to different character. But apparently my idea of fantasy is too much. Which I can understand in this situation. I wasn't angry, I just felt I wasn't trusted or I wasn't believed to be able to keep things balanced. Which I can understand, I was a GM for a lot of my rps before this site was demolished. Not everyone is balanced nor do they want to be. Nor follow what makes sense given background. Like, I'm not mad as I was annoyed, but this entire time I felt shoved to the side. And I get plot is happening; but you should understand psychology of characters are different. A cynical sickly person isn't going to rush into action, it does not make sense for them. Like, there is no logic in that. Say there is smoke? And it is a mass amount by a crackling sound? This person might be mentally strong, but has a grey sense of morality. For them to rush into it would be illogical. People don't just respond to signs the exact same way. That was all I was saying last night really aside from the Geography people kept messing up in the beginning. In the regards of Geography, I just ask you watch the source material just a bit closer. Like there is no sand in the village for example. Just huts, foliage, dirt. Temple and now a Stadium. Fine. I can work with a Stadium being added. Blitzball was popular in FFX originally. (or is rather.) I've been mostly accommodating for 21308. For example. He felt odd that everyone mostly knew each other at the start. Which I can understand as a writer. Cassius- like Bohdan was mostly blank but had just enough backstory to not like... Just jump in with a hoard of strangers. One guy? Sure. Dude is restless and wants to go places. Which makes sense to someone who is mostly told to stay indoors. Bohdan got along with him and was a polite guest. So yeah, Cassius likes him already due to that. Again, mostly confined so it is nice to meet someone who is well mannered. I like the two as a team, and it wasn't like he just gave a middle finger to the plot. I thought we were all going to Lucca anyways. Yeah, things happened at the stadium. But can you sorta see my frustration a bit?
It wasn't that odd Alex, Naisha, Gippal and Urick would know eachother I think. Both Naisha and Alex were born and bred in Besaid which is still a small village. Sure double the size now, but you could literally see the entire village in one zone in the FF10 (don't remember how it is in 10-2 cause I despise that game) And as a member of a town that's roughly the same size, everyone knows everyone. Unless your reaaaaaally antisocial. But even then people passing by will go, 'hey, it's that antisocial person. Hardly see them except when their walking the cute poms!' Naisha and Alex would mostly be the ones who would most likely know each other since they don't really leave unless probably for games in their more adult years. While Gippal and Urick are cousins who are always together, and visited Besaid. Their family connection, and Naisha's connection with Lulu, also makes a sort of connection. While Alex has a sort of connection with Tidus and Yuna. Alex and Gippal are also both Blitzball players. Even if they had no childhood together, they would still probably have a sort of connection especially when both top players and rivals. That and it's a interesting dynamic to play off one another instead of being the usual absolute stranger. Which you still have with Saina, and most of the others except Eva. But if you want to go a little OOC, Aer and Soph rp'd together before, you could say it's a tip of the hat to that. Me and Aer rp'd together before. A tip of a hat there. But me and Sooh have never rp'd together before. So only Urick and Gippal know Eva. Cas, Alex and Naisha would be the only ones who could get a idea of him by not really know him cause he's fairly new around Besaid. Which makes a dynamic between friends and strangers. Or stranger to stranger. After all, in FF10, the only ones who didn't know everyone in the group at the start was Tidus, Auron and Rikku. While Wakka, Kimari, Lulu, and Yuna all knew one another from the start. (Actually now that I think of it, quite a few FF have characters who know eachother. 7-Cloud, Tifa, Barret(though Cloud and Barret were fairly just met buuut they still started together as allies) 8-...Um Squall, Zell, Selphie, that cowboy dude I think.. Actually I think it turned out all of them actually knew one another. 9- not as much, but still had Steiner and Garnet. 13- Lightning and Snow. Fang and Vanille) This time around, our characters are actually bouncing off better than the last attempt. Not saying at all that you should shove your way into the group or that everyone needs to know everyone. Just thought I state what I think xD Edit: you saw nothing about me mistaking 10 with 13 <~<
