Review of your new sheet, [@Heat]
Everything from name through Species characteristics is perfectly good. For the Jedi rescuers at this stage, we really don’t need another loner. We could really use a type that can pull the others together and make them work optimally towards the goal (finding and rescuing the captives). It would be even better if he knows at least one of the others well, as that means two people work well together effortlessly. Its easier to attach new components to a large base than it is to weld many disparate parts into a single whole. How skilled is he in various types of combat? Is he best at dueling or at fighting imperial troopers? How versed is he in dealing with “irregular” forces (like criminals and mercenaries)? How is he at using the force for acrobatics in combat? Is his connection to the Force weak, or is it simply that his combat skill exceeds his practice in wielding the more esoteric elements of the Force? How is his patience? Does he rush into things, or does he take his time to do it right from the beginning? His opinion on the Sith Order are clear and it is clear that he prefers to stay on the paved path set by the Masters of the Order, but how does he deal with those Jedi who have strayed from that path, either by walking a little on the side (grayish Jedi), or those who deviate far from it (Dark Jedi)? How does he view acts of questionable legality? (acts where the ends justify the means) How does he view the Republic? Is his loyalty to the republic and its leaders equally strong to his loyalty to the Jedi Order? Unlike many, he has the necessary age and experience, not to mention personality, to use Juyo right, so thats good. Does he have any skills that aren’t “useful” for the mission? (cooking, sewing, welding, gambling, etc) ----------- Bio: Nice to see another Jedi that wasn’t trained on Coruscant. Too many of those in Aftermath compared to the common policy for the era. Perhaps republic troops also respected him for his natural talent for tactics? Would be nice CS spicing. A short, but concise bio. We like that. Its clear that there’s more to it, but it doesn’t feel like any necessary parts are missing. When it comes to personality/motivation, we’d really like to see him be more of an outright leader, as thats kinda missing in the Jedi Rescuer faction right now. The long-term goals strike us somewhat wrongly. Our understanding of the lore is that you cannot remove an intrinsic part of the force any more than you can remove gravity from existence. Sure, you can negate gravity’s effect through technology, but it still exists. Similarly, you can kill all who utilize the dark side of the Force (a daunting task), but you cannot destroy it. The Force itself isn’t truly light or dark, it is how it is used that determines its lightness/darkness. In addition, you don’t have to attain the rank of Master to take a padawan. One of the requirements for becoming a master is in fact, training a padawan to knighthood. There are rare exceptions, but they’re not all that common. The padawan calling the one who trains him/her “master” is a honorific, not necessarily the actual rank of their trainer. But aside from that, becoming a Master is a nice goal. Relations needs some work. As mentioned earlier, we’d suggest more than a little work with at least one of the other Rescuers, but perhaps also some connections to some of the captives. (friends of their masters or somesuch would work if there’s no direct connection) At thirty-six, he could even have had an apprentice that has passed the trials.
