Annaliza was born under some rather unusual circumstances. Her mother Eliza met a man whose name didn't match the one on her wrist, had sex with him, and then met her soul mate a week later. She ended up getting pregnant from the man she had a fling with and passed Annaliza off as Andrew's child because they both had blonde hair and blue eyes. This ended up working out just fine for a few years until Eliza let it slip one day when she had more than a few beers. Needless to say, Andrew was furious but he didn't blame Anna so he tried to keep himself together and her parents ended up working things out. 

Their rekindled relationship resulted in Annaliza's little brother and sister, who her parents doted on quite a bit; which left Anna to entertain herself. She picked up painting when she was 7, and was in the store buying paints with her father one day and spoke to a little boy who was there with his parents. The boy ( who ended up being her neighbor ) saw Anna on her way from school one day and spent some time talking her before going to cross the street to his house. A car came through the neighborhood at a speed way higher than the limit and ended up hitting him. 

His parents rushed him to the hospital and he ended up getting away with just a few broken bones, but Anna kept her distance from him after that day. The same sort of thing happened 5 times over the next 9 years, so Anna just stopped using her voice after she talked to her mother and found out that a Siren's voice can entrance people and cause bad things to happen. After graduating from high school with slightly better than average grades, she started attending an art school and heard more than one person on campus talking about her and calling her a weirdo or a freak because she doesn't talk to anyone. There were also quite a few comments about the sketchbook she carries around that she draws in and uses to talk to people through writing.

Thoughts on meeting her Soul Mate : [b]Incredibly worried[/b]. She doesn't know whether or not they will accept her for being a forced ( or by choice, depends on your view ) mute, and the fact that she probably won't ever be able to let them hear her voice. She'd been told it was beautiful; but she doesn't want to risk using her voice and accidentally causing something horrible to happen to her soul mate. She also hopes that they'll like home cooked meals, because other than painting, cooking is her favorite hobby. [/center]
