Annoyance began to stir within Taene as the person charging him didn't simply give up and was steered forward by his beast. How was he supposed to avoid killing him if he was going to get into point-blank range? It was like the kid had some odd sort of death wish. More cold air began to gather between Taene's teeth as he decided that he wasn't going to be able to avoid killing his adversary. As he began to charge up his next frosty assault, he noticed the boy take off his mask. Presumably to avoid it freezing to his skin, which likely wouldn't have been very good for a young warrior. The face that greeted Taene after his mask was removed didn't intrigue him, and he tore his attention away from it quite quickly without second thought. Surrender? ...I could. Doubt that my employers would be that pleased with a choice like that, though. Taene thought over what the kid preparing to charge was saying, and took particular notice to the fear that was heard in his voice when he brought up the threat of attack. The ball of frost within the drake's jaws was nearly finished forming, when... something happened. The sphere crumbled in his maw and dissolved into nothingness, and he let out an oddly low noise that had a quite quizzical sound to it. His attention snapped to the rider opposite him, and Taene suddenly spoke up. "Boy. I shall surrender to you, and your men, as I wish not to continue fighting. I am done offering resistance. However," He began. "Before I make myself any more vulnerable to a man that might possibly kill me, I must ask you a somewhat odd question. You would not happen to have a warrior sibling, would you?" The dragon's voice took a much calmer, relaxed tone as he asked his question but it still managed to carry over the sound of his large wings beating as he maintained his flight. Taene quite hoped that his inquiries would go somewhere. He was very sure, more so than he was in many other things. Their faces lined up in a way that made almost no sense.
