Just want to run a character by you: dishonorably discharge human naval commodore/admiral/some staff officer, probably for disobeying cruel orders or some other noble disobedience, is trying to turn his military knowledge into civilian captaincy/first-matedom. He personality of this character would be a hopefully interesting mix of military mentality and traits that are reactionary to the disliked institution.
Though shameful to admit, would be basing this character fairly heavily on my main man Yang Wen-Li

Is that an acceptable background?
