Bestiary: WIP [hider=Death Mantis] Animal Basis: Praying Mantis Grimm Title: Death Mantis Threat Level: medium to high Appearance: This Grimm is covered from tip to tip in the white plating oft seen, red markings snaking along its body in an almost tribal pattern. Two large scythe blades take precedence in the front, a almost metallic gleam coming from the sinister appendages. The eyes of the Grimm are multi-faceted, making flanking maneuvers particularly difficult to pull off. When it's back plating raises to free its wings, black membranes laced with harsh red markings with a keen edge easily distract many a novice hunter from the now exposed soft black thorax of the Grimm, a vulnerable target for any hunter able to get past the razor blades of its wings. Primary Attack:strikes with scythe like claws Secondary Attack:strikes with spear-tipped legs Tertiary Attack:uses razor-edged armoured wings to lash out to the side Armoring:almost full body, wings are reinforced by still vulnerable except at edges, joints are segmented bone but softer then the main armour. Strength: speed, flight, heavy armour Weakness:clumsy, poor maneuverability, low intelligence, head is highly vulnerable to blades Additional Notes:fairly rare, dangerous but only individualy, in groups they tend to get in eachothers way. [/hider] [hider=Dhampir] Animal Basis:primate, other Grimm Title: Dhampir Threat Level: medium to very high, varies with age and environment. Appearance: While their shape resembles that of a humans, everything is slightly off, as though they had been stretched too thin. Featureless faces stare back from bulbous grimm masks, a malevolent cunning shining from behind their soulless eyes. a thin slit on ther mask betrays the location of a small mouth, when opened their razorlike teeth are revealed Primary Attack:approch from behind and strangle the enemy Secondary Attack:ambush a single opponent and attempt to bite them, latching on and draining them of blood Tertiary Attack:swarm the target as a group, working together to disarm them. Armoring:heavy mask covers th entire head, with a small seperation for its mouth. hands and feet covered in thin, barbed plates for climbing and holding onto prey Strength: more intelligent than most Grimm, small and unassuming, able to coordinate group efforts and formulate simple strategies. Weakness: not as strong as its more comon brethren, the Dhampir lack the heavy armor of laregr species and thus are vulnerable to a wider range of weaponry. lack of armor means they are easily dispatched by a trained hunstman. Additional Notes:prefer to stalk weak individuals or wait in ambus.,Known to gather in crevices and caves for days or weeks before attacking villages. a swarm of Dhampir can make entire settlements dissappear overnight with no trace. [/hider] [hider=Inkume] Animal Basis:centipede Grimm Title: Inkume Threat Level: minimal to extreme Appearance: ranging from 1 meter to 3 kilometers in size, the Inkume is a slow growing Grimm that will often lie in burrows for decades, slowly growing and only emerging when disturbed by a human or faunus. Inkume are alost entirely armoured, with red mimicking splattered blood covering their bony hides. Primary Attack:emerge from the ground beneath the targets feet, striking with their scissor like mandibles Secondary Attack:tramble enemy with hundreds of swod-like legs Tertiary Attack:emit a weak poison from their skin that degrades metal Armouring:full body armour plating boken up only at the joints and eyes Strength: size, speed, heavy armour Weakness: solitary, low intelligence, poor maneuverability. Additional Notes:the largest Inkume ever spotted was over 3 kilometers long and is responsible for the creation of a new inland sea, though typically they will be no larger than a deathstalker, and have been seen as small as a common insect. [/hider] [hider=Nightmare] Animal Basis: Horse Grimm Title: Nightmare Threat Level: Low when solitary, high when in herd Appearance: Size varies from between 50cm at the shoulders to 220cm at the shoulders. The leader of the herd is usually half again the size of the other members. Bone plating protects the face, breast and flank, with spiky protusions varying with age. A pair of bone horns sweep back and away from the forehead, and down the spine of the neck, interspercing the mane. Nightmare's have extremely sharp teeth, eight legs and cloven hooves. Primary Attack: Stomps and kicks, using it's powerful and large hooves. Secondary Attack: Bites, using it's razor sharp teeth Tertiary Attack: Armoring: Bone plating protects the face, breast and flank, with spiky protusions varying with age. A pair of bone horns sweep back and away from the forehead, and down the spine of the neck, interspercing the mane. Strength: Fast and lives in a herd, with strong muscles Weakness: Back is relatively unprotected except by the spike interspercing the mane. Additional Notes: They are social beasts and rarely travel far from the herd. The older the Nightmare, the more bone protusions in the mane and plates around the flank and breast. The largest Nightmare ever seen was a full 350 cm at the shoulders. A single Nightmare will not attack humans as long as the human keeps it's distance and doesn't make any aggressive moves towards them. A Nightmare herd will automatically attack. [/hider] [hider=Chimera] Animal Basis: Goat, Spider, Scorpion Grimm Title: Chimera Threat Level: Medium, grows when larger Appearance: A goats head and body, with curling ram horns. Eight spidery legs protude from it's body and a long, flexible tail tipped by a sickle-like plate that is supremely sharp. Bone plating covers its face and flanks. It has razor-sharp teeth and is able to climb trees and buildings using its spidery legs. Primary Attack: Tail slice, using the sharp bone plating on the end of the tail Secondary Attack: Headbutt, using the ram horms Tertiary Attack: Bite, using the razor sharp teeth Armoring: Bone plating covers its face and flanks. Strength: Able to climb walls and trees using it's spider legs and the tail is very flexible and as long as the rest of the body. Weakness: It's belly is relative unprotected by armouring Additional Notes: Chimera's are solitary creatures, and very territorial. Their preffered mode of attack is to ambush. [/hider]
