I got halfway through a story about a couple in an alternate universe, Solresol-speaking, 1940's India (that was at war with France) who were named after geological formations. It was going to be a metaphor for the atomic bombings. I dropped it because writing dialogue in a language you don't know is hard, and I am incapable of writing male characters unless they are involved in Space WWII.
